sub-forums

Post by mougins »

is there a way to move "sub-forums" up and down like can be done with the main forums?

i have a Category...and main forums listed....then sub-forums inside of the main forums (because i need alot of sub-forums inside particular main forum headings), but i don't want a long forum list on the main page.

is this possible to have this structure and be able to move (up & down) the sub-forum topics?

Thank you very much!
Mark

Use the Categories Hierarchy MOD to create subfourms.

That is an option, but I would recommend waiting until Olympus is released.
If you can't wait I would recommend installing a sub forum mod that doesn't make as many changes as "Category Hierarchy" so that it will be easier to upgrade when Olympus is released.

Are you trying to use easy mod on CH? I don't think it will work if you do, CH actually moves the auth tables to a whole new file IIRC.

Actually Categories Hierarchy will be the easier route to upgrade. For the new 2.1.0 version of CH, Ptirhiik has said that at some point after Olympus is released, he will be making an upgrade script for people using Categories Hierarchy 2.1.0 to transfer their info over to Olympus.
