Hi all we have problem on our board that it grow too big and is killing server, what we wished to do is to install read only version of pbpbb where people will still be able to search for old topics but that will be separated from working version that will keep only last week or two of posts.

To do so i need some way to copy / archive all posts that are older of 2 weeks to (read only) archive version. im interestd if anyone have done something similar or have made some program that can be used in cron table or from admin panel to do this "archiving" also i will be interested to all info that can help to lower load on database.

thanks !!

thanks robert i tryed to search both but i was unable to find anything that do incremental backup (archive) all i found is one mod that backup entire database and that was not good for me as i wish to archive messages and then autoprune and remove them from working board and keep only in archive board ...

probably it will be enough to execute some mysql commands in phpmyadmin ? but i dont know what tables i need to update new records etc ...
