lost adminship

Post by billy1816 »

I upgraded to the new version. create a hidden group. after i allow access the hidden group to everything, confirm the allow access. I lost my admin status.

I have access to SQL, im wondering how I can get my admin back without resetting my board and w/o having another admin user to put me back into admin.

well, I'd like to thank you for the program. It worked.
I'm wondering, can I delete the file after I finish using it?

As well, do you know why and how I lost my adminship, out of no where?

Yes, you can safely delete it, but as you are asking a new question, fire it up again and run ‘HackScan’ to see if there are more Admin’s.

I have had the same problem, getting de-admined after setting up a group.

I have downloaded the toolkit and read the instructions but, as a complete novice, I am still at a loss. It talks about uploading the toolkit to my forum folder but how do I do that? I really have no idea where my forum folder is.

I don't know if this is relevant but my forum is hosted free on cjb.net and was only set up a few days ago. I have done almost nothing on it but already lost my adminship. I am all at sea here and would really appreciate some help.

I got de-administered when I added a group also. I think.

When I load the toolkit it says it works only On MySQL database. I must be on a different SQL. I'm using Readyhosting. Any suggestions on how to get my access back??

Jim_UK,

Were you replying to me?

Because your solution also says it runs only on MySQL.

Also, I looked at the thread you posted, then I went back 5 minutes later and it does not exist.

I was posting it as info for billy1816 - the originator of the thread although of course it will be of use to others with the same problem. A common hack is to remove admin rights so this will reinstate them automatically. Strange that you say it has gone. I will check it out shortly.
