Bandwidth Concerns?

Post by Guacaquat » Tue May 17, 2005 5:01 pm

Hey guys. I installed phpBB two days ago and my server has already used about 70 megs of bandwidth. I only have about 8 members.

Is there any reason for this? Or does phpBB just use this much bandwidth on a regular basis?

Thanks.

LOL no if you have only 8 members and have had it for only 2 days there is no way 70mbs was from phpbb...someone could have uploaded a media file to your site if you allow phpbb to do that. I dont so that doesnt happen but you should check that. Anyway, no phpbb does not take up that much bandwidth.

Could this be from installing the forums, by any chance?

hmmm i dont think that this is the problem... unless ppl are constantly having to redownload the phpBB images thats the only way i can ever see phpBB eating up that much transfer in that amount of time..
