Problems with Flash on phpBB

Post by Rathamus »

Im having troubles enabling the flash tags to allow flash in the forums. I have tried using flash, embed, object, and various other things. Am I doing this right?

Im trying to get a flash Signature but I only end up seeing the code. HTML is enabled.

Can anyone here help me with this? I realize many of the elite may be busy but someone must know something simple like this. Or maybe I just chose the wrong forum hosting software.

in your admin where you enable html, simply add embed as an allowed tag. :)

well you see I have tried this with no results. any other ideas?

This is the code I am trying to use in my signature.

[swf width=400 height=120]http://www.haloimpulse.com/sig/stats.sw ... 2=0x0000CC[/swf]

Am i using the wrong tags or what? This is the code that was generated for a shockwave flash that is supposed to work. But I cant seem to get it to cooperate with me.

first, this was disallowed for sig files several versions ago for security reasons, I don't think you want people to be able to run scripts on your server from their sig files.

however, I believe there is a MOD here for it,

I agree, I could easily make a flash where it will link you to another site wether you want it to or not. If you are to do this then find some way to disable the flash script, other than the flash itself.

Have you tried the Flash MOD 2.0.11? I've been using it for quite some time, and it works fine.
