don't think that is possible. if it works for anybody, it would have to work for everybody.

that user has some sort of problem not related to phpbb I would think.

Robert,

shockingly enough not only is it possible I can prove it.
when clicking on this members "find all posts by" this message comes up:
"No topics or posts met your search criteria"
she is a heavy poster, and something changed around the time she was the first member of the forum to crack 300 posts. Before then, the function... functioned.
Now -- what might be the problem on the user end?
thank you
ev.

I know this problem. It affects to me in this forum, as well. (Just go into my profile and click "find all posts by KI")

It is because of the lenght of my username. The search function only allows 3 characters as a serach argument.

It seems to me that everyday someone opens a thread to this topic.
It can't be ignored permanently. 8)

thank you KI.

well, your original post made it sound like there was one person trying to use the find all posts by function and it wasn't working.

you did not say that you could not find any posts by a particular person

that is two completely different things.

the latter is caused by ( as was already posted ) the change in the search function in the last upgrade. whether searching for posts by a certain author or just using the main search function, you have to have 3 or more characters for it to work now.

Yes. My bad. I am not used to approaching the Powers That Be and speaking the High Priests idiom. In trying to be succinct (with the whole problem in my head) I left out key elements.

ha -- and I think of myself as articulate.

Thanks for your time.
