How do you put a header or a footer on your forum

How do you put a header or a footer on your forum

I looked all around the admin panel but did not find any thing. Can you please help me?

You will need to use an FTP program to get the files, and then edit overall_header.tpl and overall_footer.tpl in the templates/yourtemplate/ directory to add a header or footer.

thanks that helps. but i am wondering also is there a way to do it with out download anything. like some thing that i could do on the web

I may be wrong, but I don't know of any easy way to add a header and footer to your forums other than manually editing overall_header.tpl and overall_footer.tpl.

Instead of editing your local copy of overall_header.tpl and overall_footer.tpl and then uploading them to your server, you could edit your "live" copies of them right on your server, but you would be risking the "danger" of making a mistake on your "live" files while editing them.
