N3wb needs help locking down phpBB2

Post by Trihimbulus » Tue Jul 26, 2005 6:16 pm

Hey guys this is my first post and I have a question about the phpbb2. I guess I should start off by telling you what I am trying to do:

I need to have a dedicated message forum up where I create the users and passwords- and the forum is basically secure- by that I mean no average 'joe' can come on the site and read the posts and/or sign up (register) as a new user. Now with the clean install, is this functionality included in the package? What do I do??

Thanks

So to install the mod all I do is add the code where the mod file specifies- correct? I read somewhere in the disable regoistration file that I can be installed by EasyMod of Nutzzy (????). How should I go about doing this?
