How to remove phpBB completely should the need arise.

Post by Owozifa »

I'm setting up phpBB just as a test and would like to know if there's somethign other than simply deleting the directory containing all the files that needs to be done in order to remove it completely. Thanks.

Hi,

All you will need is to delete your phpbb directory and the mysql table you have created. Should you need more help, do not hesitate to ask and we will try to help you.

Good luck and I hope that you will not need to delete phpbb

Not only to delete the directory of phpBB but, the MySQL database will also need to be removed if you want to have a 'complete uninstallation'. If you don't know the database the phpBB forum was on, check in the config.php file for that info.
No longer supporting phpBB. PM or email me regarding support and you will be ignored. I'm fully done with phpBB and everything.

That's what I was afraid of.

How, exactly, do you remove the database?

Use phpMyAdmin. Use the drop function.

Two ways: 1.) through phpMyAdmin or, 2.) through cPanel under the "MySQL Databases" part.
