Jumpbox and Group management problem

Post by Winky »

Hi guys,

I need some help  on solving a porblem related to jumpbox.tpl and groups management.

I better explain; (I apologize for my broken english, and pls do not hesitate to ask me if not understandable)

On my community, I decided, to set differently the number of forums available, so that some are available to all registered users, and some other are visible only to specific group members (very few forum are even displaied on index to non registered users "all").
(so, in this case, even a registered user w/o group will not get a complete access to the forum lists)

So, I created the needed specific groups, and I have changed all the Forum and groups rights, then I applied group to desired users.

Now .... If the "View" forum right (the one that enables users to see phisically the forum on the index forum list) is set as "Group" (and obviously the "View" group right is set as "Yes" on the specific forum field,
then the {jumpbox} function wont display correctly to that group of users, all the available forums but just the one specified as "all" (nonregistered users) in the specific forum field.

Pls is anybody able to help on solving this?

Take care and ty

Peace

The jumpbox only displays forums accessible to all by default for reasons of performance - if you look in the code for make_jumpbox however, you will see some commented out code which will enable it to perform as you wish

On a quick glance, that looks like approximately the correct line yes
