you will need to restore any backups of your database... if you dont have a backup, you web host might be able to do it if your really nice to them..

then..

download and upgrade to 2.0.19

If you lost your admin function, install the admin toolkit and run the security scan. Admin Toolkit

The look of the forum and the place where the users and threads are kept are 2 totally different places.

Installing the admin toolkit will restore your admin access. If your user info is safe then it's a fair bet your posts are safe too.

ok - i will do this just as soon as i can get to somewhere i can upload - unfortunately - it wont be until tonight - 7 more hours of work before i can get home and run this.

i will restore the admin by running this, pray and then upgrade to the new version - anything else anyone can think of to help prevent this from happening again?

stay upgraded, it is as simple as that.

go to the support page here and sign up for the mailing list.

your board will now let you know when an update is available ( in your admin panel after this upgrade )

luck,

you think my posts are ok? right now it says there are 0 - but when you try to view anything - it shows the forum is locked - and then that hack message....

by locking the forum, would it hide all the posts and threads? i am a noob here sorry...and just worried..
