[SOLVED] Query, how to change theme ID?

Post by thecharmed01 » Tue Jan 31, 2006 11:00 am

Okay, for my next question of the night, side effect from moving server is that every user is set to be using a theme ID of 15.

Yet there is only one theme installed which is subsilver.

How in phpmyadmin, can I change the theme ID of subSilver, to the ID number of 15?

you would need to run a mysql query via something like phpmyadmin

like this

Code: Select all

UPDATE phpbb_users SET
user_style=1
note the style=1 will the the style number of the subsilver

thanks a lot for that, however now I think I may be on the wrong track as I did this and checked and the users table has indeed shifted all of the users from 15 to 1.

However I still get this message;
phpBB : Critical Error

Could not get theme data for themes_id [15]

Any ideas?

you may want to change the default style set in the phpbb_config table too as you may have it over riding user styles in which case it will the be the on in the phpbb_config you need to set too the subsilver id

Presumably you also need to set the theme ID in the themes_name table to 1 as well.

But why not just leave it at 15? The users don't know if it 1, 15 or 25,000. It doesn't really matter does it?

Your database probably still has them. Look in your phpbb_themes and phpbb_themes_name tables to see if there are any entries other than 1 for theme_id. If so, delete those rows (from both tables). Then, make sure you have only subSilver listed in your /templates directory.

James

P.S. Also, go into your ACP -> General Admin -> Configuration, make sure that Default Style is set to subSilver, and Override User Style is set to "Yes".

The theme ID in the config was already set to 1.

I thought changing the users info would kill the error, but I am still getting the error, just with the number 1 now.

What else could cause this error?
