avatars not showing up

Post by Croatian »

I originally had the settings as

images/avatars
images/avatars/gallery

then i moved them to
avatars

(all these based on mydomain.com/forums/)

the alt text shows, i right click and view image and then shows this

/forums/avatars/Butterflies/Butterflies/Anomalous_Emperor.gif

I put the butterflies directory in avatars
but it goes butterflies/butterflies
i have a dogs too and it goes
/forums/avatars/Dogs/Dogs/Anomalous_Emperor.gif

it doubles itself

how can i fix it?

all subfolders for avatars have to go inside the gallery folder

for exampe

/images/avatars/galley/subfolder/

you can have as many subfolders as you need, but subfolders must be insidethe gallery folder.

update: i chose one, and it shows on the threads, but when on the avatar selection page it doesn't.

while in the avatar it doubles the directory

I have the following modifications by the way if this helps:

Admin Notepad (Note it)
Staff Site
Restrict Guest Access
Allow Users of All Ages
Auto group
Advanced Minimum Post Length
Postcounts Configuration
Faq Manager (vers. English)
Different icons for different forums
Force Email Update
Unincrement user posts
Admin Register User
Configure Member Profile Required Fields
Show Ranks in FAQ
Gallery Page Numbers
Make posted URL Be underlined

start over, put the butterflies folder in the gallery folder;

/images/avatars/galley/butterflies

upload your images to that folder;
/images/avatars/galley/butterflies/ Anomalous_Emperor.gif

then , in your admin panel, make sure that the path for avatars is set to :

images/avatars/

and not.

/images/avatars

try that and see.

Remove the / from the end.
Make your paths:
Avatar Storage Path
Path under your phpBB root dir, e.g. images/avatars

Avatar Gallery Path
Path under your phpBB root dir for pre-loaded images, e.g. images/avatars/gallery
