phpbb & RSS Content Syndicator

Post by Boldbelvoir »

Hi there,

Firstly, I realise I'm not strictly in the correct forum, but I tried to post in the MOD forum and it said moderators only, so apologies for that. Perhaps a mod can move it to the correct area?

I added RSS Content Syndicator to phpBB and followed the excellent and concise instructions posted elswhere on this forum (and sourced here: http://forums.tjworld.net/viewtopic.php?t=82 ) to get RSS feeds on my bulletin board, and all is working it seems.

One question, please..
At the top of the post it says that this will allow people to take feeds from specific forums, or the entire board.

Which feed is for the entire board? I would have expected to see an RSS .gif at the head of the index page after the Forum index title).

Specifically, what I am after is a single link on the main index page which will allow people to track All threads from ALL forums from one single RSS link.

Forgive me if I am being dumb.. I'm not code savvy and appreciate what I have gleaned here, but it seems I can't add a single feed from my site for the whole board. If you want to look at my board, it's here:

Thanks in anticipation for you assistance and patience.
Cheers, Phil

Your questions don't seem dumb to me. I'm looking into RSS. Is the RSS Content Syndicator a better way to go than the Smartfeed?

Kind of a scary thought to have other sites linked in syndicating our content. Hope we can get a handle on the spammers and inappropriate content.

Hi,

As you said, this isn't the right place to ask questions about MODs. I see you've already asked at the site where the guide is. At phpbb.com the best place to post for support with this MOD would be its release topic: http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=144548

Thanks :)
