Looking at the Code, you have a mod that changes the size of images so they do not stretch the page. That is what is causing your problem.

If you know which mod it is, contact that mod author.

Where did you get the download? If you installed it yourself and don't know what Mods are, you got a premodified version of phpBB from another Site.

I installed it from here: http://www.phpbb.com/downloads.php

"FULL PACKAGE"

Is this bad? Is there any other way I can fix it?

No, you cannot have used that install, or somebody changed the code. The default installation does not have the ability to stop page stretching. Have you or anybody else modified the code after the original installation?

I did. I am sure I used that install. I am 100 per cent sure. No, I did not modify anything, I just installed a template called Conundrum but like I said, I have the same problem with subsilver. I added a fodler for avatars, and I didn't modify any code or any file. :?

Maybe it's not that page stretching thingy? Maybe it's something else?

It is the page stretching modifications that are doing it. It can't be anything else. This forum is a basic forum install from this site. if it works here, yours is different.

I'm currently looking for the image BBcode handling to tell you how to fix it, but it may take a bit.

Wow, that is so weird. I'm totally confused, I've no idea what I've done or/and changed/modified that could have cause this. :( Thanks so much for trying to help! God bless!

Ok, go to your root folder and then open includes/bbcode.php in a text editor. Do a search in it for "function bbencode_first_pass(", then copy that entire function and post it here.

EDIT: Can you also edit your first post so the board isn't stretched?

Code: Select all

function bbencode_first_pass($text, $uid)
{
// pad it with a space so we can distinguish between FALSE and matching the 1st char (index 0).
// This is important; bbencode_quote(), bbencode_list(), and bbencode_code() all depend on it.

Ok, doesn't look like it's there.

Can you get the "bbencode_second_pass" function?

And for editing, your example code in the topic post

Ah. Figured it out. It has to do with your skin. It's not a mod that's doing it, it the definition of an image.

Go to templates/TEMPLATE_NAME/bbcode.tpl and search for this:

Code: Select all

<p style="width: 550px; overflow: hidden;"><img
Then in that line, remove the " <p style="width: 550px; overflow: hidden;"> " at the beginning and "</p>" at the end.

Tell me if that doesn't work.
