why would you want to do this? then any users of your board in a different time xone would be forced to have the wrong time? thats why users are allowed to set their own timezone. The board timezone is for new users and guests

I explain you.
I have a board in hebrew language.
and in israel there is a timezone-summer and timezone-winter
because of this I want in summer change to timezone-summer and in winter change to timezone-winter.
you know how I doing this?

the users will have to do themselves in their profiles by changing the timezones to suit the amount of hours the time changes, like in the uk out clocks go forward an hour so we have to alter our board timezone to GMT +1 in the summer, then the users have to do it in their profiles too. you could change them with a sql query run directly on the database but there is nothing to stop the users altering the timezones again after

right sorry took me so long to answer, had some domestic probelms

do this,
1) Go to your profile and set your time so it shows the time correctly when posting
2) Go to your database using phpmyadmin and look in the phpbb_users for your user accounts row
3) Find the value in the column "user_timezone" for your account(which should be set so the time is right as stated in step one) this is the value we will us in the sql query
4) Run this sql query

Code: Select all

UPDATE phpbb_users SET user_timezone='time'
replace the word time in the above query with the value which was in the "user_timezone" column for your username :)

so it will look something like

Code: Select all

UPDATE phpbb_users SET user_timezone='2.00'
