Posts not being marked as "read"

Post by jadedsociety »

Users are viewing topics/posts and upon leaving that post it is still marked as "unread".

Clicking the "mark all as read" link does not actually do anything. All posts are still marked as "new".

Any help would be appreciated.

that i already did.
ive run autocookies twice since i installed the board, i clean out my browser etc each time i try something with the board. no luck

this is all my members - not just me

just a question - i saw a line in the knowledge base (i think) about doing the cookie's dance (!!!!!) - it said everyone should clear out their cache. do all the members have to do this for the mod to work or something???

what firewall are you using? check that it is allowing cookies, and then check thet you have not set the browsers cookie security to high.

the www. in cookie domain made it so users had to log in twice before the board registered them!!

the first time, it would show them as online, but still show the login boxes at the page footer, and then when they logged in again, all well and good.

so ive changed the cookie domain back to .thecatfishcorner.com

still no luck with the unread posts thing though!!

i even tried some db repairs using the db maintainance mod, no luck there either!!
