ok, what exactly do you mean by server time issues.

because i work at the place i host my site, (www.sonic.net)
and i talked to our operations department and they want some more details on what you mean by server time issues..

because i also have an issue with the posts going out of order (sometimes showing that someone posted before me, but when really they saw my post and replied, but the software put my post after theirs) which defenitaly makes me think its some kind of time issue going on having an affect on how many posts you can make and what order they go in.

so as much info as possible would be greatly appreciated!!!! thanks!!

have your techs make sure that the server time is correct and that it is not changing randomly or whatever.

well.. i dont see how it would be, because 3 other employees here run phpBB and have no issues at all, we even tested theirs.. you can keep posting within the 2 second interval he has selected.. and we run on the same virtual server.

well, have you tried uploading all new files except the config.php file.

I am guessing now.

well, if you have no MODs installed, this will certainly take care of fixing the problem if it is file related.

if you have any MODs installed, this will wipe them out.

upload all new phpbb files except for the config.php file and the install and contrib folders.

Ok, it has to do with me not having a Search Flood interval in my admin CP/config menu.
http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.ph ... t=interval

I guess I'll get crackin' on some TPL files to find the missing code.

there are so many of these in the last week or so, that I am down to thinking it is a time warp or something.

you know, that all the servers get their time from one of the two or three atomic clocks.

now, according the physics, those clocks, once set, should never be off from each other.

well, this happened many years ago, they were some tiny fraction of a second off from each other. the official consensus at the time, was a time warp had occured either on earth or very close to earth.

so, like I said the other day, maybe it is william shatner making a come back.

Actually, it was caused by that missing Search Flood interval option not being in my aluminoid skin. I switched to subSilver and the option is there. I made the change and switched back to aluminoid. Works great :D.

oh crap, I was hoping for the time warp theory.

this is good to know, maybe that is why there have been so many time problems lately.

I will have to keep that in mind.
