[SOLVED]Help! Weird post problem!

Post by Moxita »

HI
I just installed phpbb2, version 2.0.2.1 and I am having a strange problem with it.
When adding new posts or topics to the forum, the icons don't change.
What I mean is, the icons should be changing to "new" posts unread, but I get the same "no new" posts icons.
I had an Ipb forum installed before this one, and had the same problem.
Actually that is why I changed to phpbb in the first place, and now am getting the same exact error!
I'm going nuts here :(
Can someone help me out?

Try clearing your cookies and cache, and then logging back in?

There's a six hour bumping limit, you did it in less than 10 minutes....just a tip..the more you bump, the slower people will answer your question :P

Have you tried it with a different browser??Maybe it's the one you are using...

the cookie MOD would not have suggested these settings. why did you not accept the settings that it suggested to you?

go back and do that, click the button that says write to the database,
then follow the rest of the instructions and clear your cache and cookies, etc.

then test.

Hi
these were the settings that I had, not the ones the Mod suggested.
I wrote them to database, deleted cookies and cleared cache.
Closed browser...etc etc and still, the same problem. :(
I don't know what else to do!

ok, you have one of the situations where the cookie mod is not correct.

try these exact settings,

# Domain Name: companhiadosbichos.lusopt.info ( do not use www at all, you are on a subdomain, therefore you do not need to use www ever. )
# Server Port: 80
# Script path: /forum/
# Cookie secure: Disabled
# Cookie domain:companhiadosbichos.lusopt.info
# Cookie path: /forum
# Cookie name: phpbb2_bichos

do them exactly, then log out, close the browser, and then go back and test.

let us know
