I'd go in via phpmyadmin and verify that the DB is intact. Maybe you somehow overwrote your config.php and your looking to a default DB. Did you move DB's at some point?

BTW: Your hosting provider may provide a similar tool via the CP. Mine provides a modded version of phpmyadmin.

ok, while looking for a tool like you just mentioned, the worst thing possible happend:
Install phpBB2 (3/3)

/home/pb3d/public_html/fourm/config.php configured
/home/pb3d/public_html/fourm/data.sql configured

Please notice:

We only offer auto-installation and auto-configuration of phpBB2 but do not offer any kind of support.

You need a username and a password to enter the admin area. Your username is M_admin. Your password is ******** The full URL to the admin area (Bookmark this!): http://pb3d.ahost.ro/fourm/admin/

The full URL to this installation of phpBB2: http://pb3d.ahost.ro/fourm/

i got that message as soon as i logged in, its the default install message for PHP.

Now im thinking i'v either been hacked, or this is some autoupdate gone horribly wrong.

Edit your post to remove your username and password

It looks like you may have just overwritten your forum (fourm) folder with a new install via the CP. You need to verify if they just dropped your DB too.

bottom line; contact your host, they are the ones doing all this. they probably have a database backup and that is all you need to get all your users, etc. back.
