The release states that the back up feature is working. But it doesn't look like its working on my board. Where is the backup file saved? Perhaps I'm looking for it in the wrong area.

I get the text of my db dumped on my screen... but no option to save. Unless I have to copy the text and then save it like that. I don't have anything prompting me to download or anything of that nature. Is this what its suppose to do. Do I have to slect the text and then save it?

well than you have to go to file and save as!

what it look like is that your pc got in to thinking
that sql file's are like html file's
or a txt file and show said file in window or you have to re set ie 4/5/6 Defaults seting as you download are set to auto open! and not save ot pick open or save !

No my browser settings seem fine. I guess I'll just continue using mysqldump.

If you're having problems with the DB backup restore feature then please do as with all bugs, first check if it is already in the bug tracker (open and closed) and if not, submit it. Thanks.
