Problem with confirmation code

Post by MrBeefy » Sun Sep 17, 2006 7:23 am

No one is able to register for my forum because, apparently, the visual confimation code is turned on but the vcc doesn't show up when people try to register, however when they finish their registration form they are told that the vcc is incorrect(even though there isn't one on the form). I would turn the vcc off, but for some reason the command for that no longer appears on my admin commands. Anyone have any ideas what could be going on here?

I used that template check .php file on my board, and it showed that everything was correct and in place. However, I still have the exact same issue as MrBeefy, with the exception that I can turn on/off visual confirmation thru the ACP.

Any other ideas or other places in the script we should look at?

Then you don't have the "exact same issue". Yesterday, two people claimed to have the "exact same issue" as someone else with their VC images... but one of them had made an error installing a MOD, causing the VC image to instead be a "Syntax error in line XXX" message, which wouldn't display as an image.

Hey smartass, unless you have anything constructive to say, then stay out of the topic. 'Exact same issue' means that I am experiencing the 'exact same' conditions that MrBeefy is having. If I knew exactly what the cause was, then I wouldn't be asking for help.

I'm not getting a 'syntax error in line xxx', and I'm not seeing a red X where a graphic should be. I'm not getting anything, even tho my template files are correct.

Are assholes typical of this forum, or is there anybody out there that can actually help?

Either way you need to start your own topic for your problem with the support request template in the first post completed in full, thanks! Also can you check your pm's!
