Moderating question: Moving posts to another existing topic

Post by JoshuaB »

As the Administrator, can I split certain posts (or all posts in a certain topic) and add them to another *existing* topic?

For example, on my Lake Compounce Fan Forum, I'd like to move posts from several topics about the Wildcat roller coaster to a topic called "Official Wildcat discussion."

I understand the Split Topics option, but I have to choose a topic name. Can I choose an existing topic name? Or will that just create a separate topic with the same topic name?
