I have one forum thats invisible for users and guests....only administrators and admins can view, post etc etc....but today a had a topic in that forum made by a guest....I went to the admin painel and everything is correct in the permissions...
If the post was made by a "guest" and your permissions were set correctly, then it was probably a user that had their account deleted. Last time I checked, if a User is deleted, then all his/her previous posts show up as "guest."
Go back and make sure you have your permissions set correctly.
If you do not changed the permission, some one which admin rights on your forum made the change. Make sure you are the only admin, also change your admin password.
In the forums permissions , make sure that POST and REPLY are also set to Admin or Mod , if you only set the VIEW permission , spambots WILL find a way to pass information to that forum, especially if the forum id is a single digit number
After tests...I realize there is a small gap in phpbb....and that was what append...I will explain...
If you have a registred user active (online in the board) and if you delete that user...wen is still online...the cache in the tables gives im the ability to post in any forum visible or invisible...because phpbb doesn know what it is...phpbb does not knows if he is an Admin or Mod...or sommething...this happens for a litle time...but happens...but if the user refresh or lives the board...he cannot post again...
Maybe my English is not good...but I tried to explain...sorry about that.
