yes this can be done and its easy. You just add the tags you want to be allowed. Want image allowed ? Put a comma and put in img. Want breaks allowed ? Put in a comma and put in BR.

Ill try and find a list of all tags. Just hang in there.

You are putting banners in posts? Usually you just put the banners in your templates.

most of those are not html tags, they are attributes for html tags.

many of them will not work or help you at all.

not all html tags are allowed at all.

however, to do what you posted,

just add a to the list,

that is the only part of what you posted that is a html tag.

therfore, once you add a to the list of allowed tags, it will then work.

you must have html turned on in the admin panel, and in your profile.

also, anyone that does not have html turned on in thier profile, will not see it , they will see the code.

Bear in mind... Lumpy mentioned that if members do not have html enabled in their own profiles... they will not see the image you want them to see. They will just see the code. Is this the effect you want to have?

Using this bbcode in your post

Code: Select all

[url=http://photobucket.com][img]http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j188/gambleking/115661293615430.gif[/img][/url]
.. would work though

It's doable, but it's very unsafe. HTML is disabled by default for a reason - people can use XSS (Cross Site Scripting) to steal the password hashes of your users if it's enabled.

Are you just posting images constantly or do you want to put them on other places on the page?

If you're just trying to place banners in between posts, you could try this. Or if you want to put your banners on every page, take a look at the tpl (template) files :).
