Deleting all a users posts

Post by sentinal_chicken »

I have a user who has posted sensitive information, and who recently received a threatening/dodgy email. Because of these two facts, I need to delete all this users posts. They have made 900 or so, so I would like to avoid doing it all one by one (though obviously, because of the nature of this, I will if I have to), so I was wondering if there is a way for me to do it without doing it one by one.

I think the easiest way is going to be to delete the user via this tool

http://starfoxtj.phpbbhelp.org/phpBB/toolkit/

and be sure to check "remove all posts" (not sure of the exact language) as well. Then just recreate the user.

If I remember correctly, the toolkit does not delete the posts, check it to make sure.

I think there is a checkbox option to delete all posts. I have 't actually used the toolkit for this, I've been using the toolkit to delete users without posts a hundred at a time.

I already do not display members without posts in the member list or in newest member, but thought I should clear the 0 post members out once in a while.
