Best method for deleting unwanted sign-ups >>

Post by bellmaniac »

I have been using the one-at-a-time approach to deleting those spam sign-ups. Is there a faster way or mod that allows for a deletion field on the memberlist page? THANKS!

This should help:

Admin Toolkit
---Never leave home without a towel and your peril sensitive sunglasses.
---Do Not PM Me For Support. It will go unanswered.
Thanks.

anyone have any ideas how to get this installed? the official forums seem to be down and when i install it as per the directions and then go to the toolkit.php file as specified, all i get is "No input file specified." back.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Definitely a great mod. As I recall I had some issues getting the passwords to work. Can't remember if I had to hash them or not. I uploaded the toolkit.php eventually got it to run, deleted members with zero posts a hundred at a time and eventually deleted the script when done. If you are still having problems, I'll be glad to walk through it again - I have another board to clear out.

Great when used in combination with the don't list members with zero posts or list in newestmember mods.

Note to self: need to test deleting members with some posts... so far I only used with members with zero posts, so did not matter.

I found Admin_userlist does a fine job....

Mods/Admin correct me if I'm wrong but this mod is the tool for the job!!

I use to use it until I found a perfect mod in conjunction with Admin userlist to prevent BOTS from registering on my forums..... I have many forums and for the moment I suffer with no Bot registrations...Obviously I dont really want to give out the exact information but if you do the correct search you will know what I am talking about.....or PM me if that is ok with Admin/Mods, obviously I will have to verify your info to reply with the fix

So the moral of the story is prevention is better than a cure.

Prevention is a one off, I want to keep it that way.....
