phpBB : Critical Error

Could not connect to the database
my site oftenly appears like this on busy hours( 60 - 100 members online) , how to repair this?

btw my site is using phpbb 2.0.21 with few mod.

Too many connections


Talk to your host, it is a setting made by them. If they will not change it, change hosts.

may i know what setting that makes this?

are there anyways to repair this my self?

It is a setting made by who controls the server. Unless you control the server you cannot change this.

It is a setting to limit the number of connections to the database in a set period of time, usually one hour.
