Smilies.

Post by Jerlene.net » Fri Jan 19, 2007 7:53 am

I keep trying to add smilies but NOTHING works. I've tried looking in the Knowledge Base section but again, nothing works.

I go into my ACP, then Smilies, then Import Smilie Pack but there's no files for me to select. Yes, I have the .pak file and it's in the right place.

Can anyone help?

you have to have the smilies images, and the .pak file that lists all the smilies and the code for each, then you upload them to the smilies folder and then the pak file should show up in the drop down list.

If it does not, then you are not putting it in the correct place.

I did all of that and i've also moved the smilies around but nowhere I put it or nothing I do seems to work. Could it have been a MOD I installed or something that screwed it up?

Have you tried adding them individually rather that as a pak?

I just tried it and still the same problem. I'll provide screenshots of what I can.

This is the path in my ftp, where the smilies are.
This is what I get when I try to import the smilies.
This is the Configuration. [I've also stored it at "images/smiles" and "templates/style/images/smiles", etc.]

You seem to have a mod installed that makes the smilies relative to the template directory. So the images should be in:

Code: Select all

templates/subSilver/images/smilies/

I JUST installed that MOD. I thought it would help out my problem. Anyway, I tried putting it in that path as well- nothing.

This is what I get when I try to upload them individually.

Obviousley it didn't help, but actually made the problem worse (because it's now even harder to support you, as you're not using a default phpbb install).
