need a hand totaly new to forum management

Post by Derek Needing help »

Hello have a couple of questions about security on the phpbb forum. I recently received several nasty posts from someone on my site. I know I can ban the user name but I have no idea how to find out his IP so I can ban that aswell. Is there some way for me to tell? thanks in advance for any help you can give me :)

Every post has an IP link at the top right.

If you deleted the posts you're a bit stuck. A useful alternative to deleting problem posts is to make a hidden forum and move them instead so you always have some 'evidence'.

It does? All I see over there is the "quote" button.
