Private Message Issue

Post by commanderyoda »

I'm running the latest version of phpbb with no mods. All was running fine until just today when I noticed that when I go to type in the name of a valid member to send them a PM, the box to type in their name seems to be sort of grey'd out. When I attempt to submit the message I get an error saying:

"Sorry, but the user does not exist"

The user's I put in there do exist and it does this with all of them. Any ideas out there?

It appeared to be a mere "case sensitive" issue on the typed names. Their usernames under their profiles have their first letters in Caps. However, for whatever reason the PM feature wants to see them in all lower case or else it states they don't exist. Beats me as to why, but it works.
