on a standard suBsilver board you know the bit where it says 'boardname Forum Index' how do i change that so it says something different and points elsewhere. where can i locate it, i cant seem to see it in overall header?

just so you know i've edited all the profile, usergroups links and things like that so i know the basics

just so you know i've edited all the profile, usergroups links and things like that so i know the basics

like all the text for main part of the board, that is found in the language/lang_xxx/lang_main.php file

are you able to take out the bit where it says powered by phpbb or is that against the rules?

Against the rules, as it says next to the test in that footer file.

It's not exactly in the way though is it.

no its no big deal, its just i'm using the forum as a video library and not a forum so i was cleaning out all the links not needed etc.

if you know where those links are , then you should know where to add your own links.

index_body.tpl , look for the table with all the "SEARCH" varibles.

cool i managed to do that and make the changes. my new custom links disapear when i click into a post/forum for example but the 'mark all forums read' link stays, how can i make them stay ?

you would have to add them to whatever page you want them on.
