If your board is set for "Admin Approval", then phpBB2 DOES send an email to the recipient when you approve it.

hello,

in my configuration panel following setting is there and i have choosed Admin.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Enable account activation None User Admin (all Radio Buttons)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

and in approval page
------------------------------------------------------
These fields are not able to be modified by the users. Here you can set their status and other options that are not given to users.

User is active Yes No ( all Radio Button)

submit Reset.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

user gets the mail on registeration but do not when it is approved from the above setting on selecting the yes and then submitting..

That is normal. They do NOT get an email if you change their status on that screen.
You MUST click on the "activate this user" link in the email that you received, and they WILL get the "you are activated" email.

The email is sent to the address listed in the profile of your admin user.
(They are NOT sent to the "admin email address" listed in the Admin Control Panel, that is only used as the return address for emails sent by the board.)
Make sure you are receiving emails sent to the address in the admin user's profile.

thanks i got that.

but that is bad concept.

i want to approve in bulk , it is tedious to approved individual users.

is there any fix. i am also using Admin_Userlist_2 mod it also have approval/disapproval option in the dropdown, it also dont sending the mail.

if any fix available please tell me.

otherwise i heartly thankful to you for your great help

Thanks & Regards
Raju

Well that is how it works.
Are you using this just to keep SPAMbots out of your board? There are much easier ways described in the "Preventing SPAM" sticky topic at the head of the Support Forum.

If you want to ask for a variation to that MOD, you'll have to ask the MOD author, or post in the release topic for that MOD. Please don't ask for help with MODs in the general support forum.
