Do you have separate databases for PHP-Nuke and phpBB2? Sometimes if you have separate databases and have the same username and password for both, the convertor will not work. Either place the PHP-Nuke tables into the phpBB2 database or create a unique user and password for the PHP-Nuke database.

EDIT: Looks like the table is named "bbprivmsgs", not privmsgs as the script thinks. Let me take a look before anyone looks into this.
Hello, I am very happy to have found this script! Thanks for keeping it alive!

I have php-nuke 7.8 and phpbb 2.0.23 in the same database. When I run the script it does not go to completion and only a few tables are copied. There is no error message displayed. Is there any way to see why the conversion stopped?

I get the following page displayed...
Connecting to PHP-Nuke database server...Success
Connecting to PHP-Nuke database...Success
Connecting to phpBB database server...Success
Connecting to phpBB database...Success
Exporting data from PHP-Nuke table: disallow...Success
Exporting data from PHP-Nuke table: categories...Success
Exporting data from PHP-Nuke table: forums...Success
Exporting data from PHP-Nuke table: posts_text...Success
Exporting data from PHP-Nuke table: privmsgs...
Thanks in advance for any input!

You need to have phpBB installed and running.

conv_nuke.php needs to be in the phpBB root directory.

For some reason I can get the whole thing to run perfectly, but the second it gets to

Exporting data from PHP-Nuke configuration tables...

It just sits there and does nothing. I'm stumped and I really would like to get my nuke converted over this weekend. Any help would be appreciated.

It is possible that there will be no output at all until the convertor is done. Check the Status Bar of your browser to see if the Convertor is "Done" or if it is "Waiting....."

I am not sure where you are getting forum_notify from. Are you using this convertor, Convert PHP-Nuke v214a?

Point of information: Support for phpBB2 will be dropped on 1 January 2009. You should consider converting to phpBB3 using PHP-NUKE to phpBB3 Convertor 0.0.5.

It appears i was using an older version of the converter. Just tried the link you gave me and it works perfect. Thanks :D/ Only using phpbb2 as the theme i need to use for it was designed for phpbb2 and cant confirm it will work for phpbb3

No themes made for phpBB2 will work on phpBB3. You will need to find a similar looking theme made for phpbB3.
