Your host has put a limit on the number of queries that can be run per hour. Ask if they can increase the limit temporarily while you do the conversion.

Hi everybody !

This topic has 37 pages ! so I couldn't read each post one by one , nor could find an answer via search results and etc. So! this why I'm asking such a daft-like thing here ...

Can I move my phpnuke forum from http://www.A.com to http://www.B.com/phpbb2 ?

If yes, then what should I do ? I mean for connecting to the database of the http://www.A.com , hm ?

Thanks in advance :)

I am not sure what that error is. If you do a Google search on the error message, you will find others that have had the same message. Hopefully, you will find a solution. I can't read Spanish, so I don't know what the soultion is.

I have about 14000 articles published on my phpnuke portal, I am planning an upgrade to phpbb 3.0 in due and I would love to take the 14000 articles to my phpbb 3.0 forum. (e.g. all articles posted as topics in 1 forum). Does anyone of you had this experience before how to start with this task?

You could try running the convertor again. Maybe it didn't take the first time.

There are a couple of echo $query; in the script which you can uncomment to see the queries that the convertor is entering.

To see what didn't get converted, you will have to look at the database and see what is missing.

one problem
i converted my phpnuke 7 to phpbb 2.022
all converted good except the user reg date, now all set to 1999

i get the next error:

Code: Select all

Warning: gmmktime() expects parameter 5 to be long, string given in C:\wamp\www\phpbb2\conv_nuke.php on line 494
and this is the code

Code: Select all

	while ( $row = @mysql_fetch_array($res) )
	{
    $time = $row['user_regdate'];
    $date = str_replace(",","",$time);
    $date = explode(" ",$date);
      switch($date[0]) {
         case('Jan'): $m=1;  break;
         case('Feb'): $m=2;  break;
         case('Mar'): $m=3;  break;
         case('Apr'): $m=4;  break;
         case('May'): $m=5;  break;
         case('Jun'): $m=6;  break;
         case('Jul'): $m=7;  break;
         case('Aug'): $m=8;  break;
         case('Sep'): $m=9;  break;
         case('Oct'): $m=10; break;
         case('Nov'): $m=11; break;
         case('Dec'): $m=12; break;
      }

    $timestamp = date("U", gmmktime(0,0,0,$m,$date[1],$date[2]));

Is this happening with all users, or just some?

Can you paste a PHP-Nuke user register date here?

how long should it take for the conversion to happen ??

does it depend on the size of the database and the posts you have in your forum board ?

The length of time to convert does depend on the size of the database and the number of posts, but it should be fairly quick. You should see text on the screen right away indicating that the conversion has started.

Is the convertor getting stuck somewhere?

Has anyone actually had this script work for PHP-Nuke version 7.9? I am trying to rid myself of the bloat that PHP-Nuke is to my site, but I want to keep these users and forum posts intact. When I run the script downloaded from the link on the first page, I get absolutely nothing. It just shows me the page over again after I click submit. Any ideas? Thanks.

Mav

*Update*

After having read through the last several pages, I picked up version 214a of the script. The script works until I get to the config section of the database, at which point it stalls. I left it running for about 2 1/2 hours and it never moved from that spot. Also, I've tried manually moving the database myself, but when I try to log in it gives me a timeout error. Any suggestions?
