MOD just plain not showing up!?!

Post by cordelia_vmmt »

I have uploaded all of the file and executed the SQL commands, but alas, the selection field is still not showing up in my forum management panel. :(

I hope someone sees this message. I am very excited to use this mod... looks pretty nice! But I can't imagine why its not working for me.

Any ideas? I'm happy to paste the related files, I just thought there might be a quick answer.

Thanks!

Double check the edits in the admin files and make sure everything is correct (I think forum_admin_body.tpl would be the one pertaining to the selection field but I'm not sure)

From the description, that sounds like you haven't done any manual eddition that's necessary for this MOD to work, am I right?

Read the instruction (Forum_Icon_ListBox_en.txt) and make sure you make all the changes manually or using EasyMOD.

Code: Select all

Blank Screen

Post by qik »

After installing the mod several times over and over and on separate
ocassions, the results are the same--I get a blank ACP.
Has anyone had this problem?

Did you activate the phpBB debug option?

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_LNUMBER, expecting T_VARIABLE or '$' in /home/hantho07/public_html/forum/cache/tpl_ca_aphrodite.admin.forum_edit_body.php on line 68

I have XS Installed. What is going on?

Don't know, I never use eXtreme Styles MOD.

First try checking if you make the correct changes to forum_edit_body.php, and clear the cache.

includes/constants.php

Code: Select all

// Debug Level
//define('DEBUG', 1); // Debugging on
define('DEBUG', 1); // Debugging off
Default debug level is on (1), so if it's off (0), you can trun it on.

Ok. I turned it on.

Debug mode is now on. Hehe. So what if after I reinstall the mod and I just see blanks on ACP? Would "Debug mode" give me error messages explaining the problem?

Greetings, for some reason, my icon does not update in the acp, meaning that it does not show on the Index.

Whenever i type in something in the ACP, and i go back to check, the field its blank, also doesnt show on the index.

i am using phpbb 13, and i am using a heavily moded board, i have around 20+ mods, but most dont affect the index.

please help. thank you.

PS. i did edit ALL the files correctly, and did the SQL. I get no error msgs, it just wont update in the database.

Are you using the default phpBB db prefix? If, not you need to make changes to the SQL queries you've entered. Have you made the necessary changes in constants.php
