Yes, I realized that which is why I mentioned it.

If you really like to use sub-forum feature, you may approach those authors to implement some kind of forum/category icon in their MODs. It would be easier that way.[/quote]
I already have. :wink:

But it would still be nice to have costum images for the categories imho and I imagine a lot of people would have a use for it. :D

I have no idea what you've done but my MOD simple has one instruction for the index's TPL file, which is

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------
#
templates/subSilver/index_body.tpl
#
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
	<td class="row1" width="100%" height="50"><span class="forumlink"> <a href="{catrow.forumrow.U_VIEWFORUM}" class="forumlink">{catrow.forumrow.FORUM_NAME}</a><br />
	  </span> <span class="genmed">{catrow.forumrow.FORUM_DESC}<br />
	  </span><span class="gensmall">{catrow.forumrow.L_MODERATOR} {catrow.forumrow.MODERATORS}</span></td>
#
#-----[ REPLACE WITH ]------------------------------------------
#
	<td class="row1" width="100%" height="50"><table width="100%" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="0" border="0">
		<tr><td><a href="{catrow.forumrow.U_VIEWFORUM}" class="forumlink">{catrow.forumrow.FORUM_ICON_IMG}</a></td>
			<td width="100%"><span class="forumlink"><a href="{catrow.forumrow.U_VIEWFORUM}" class="forumlink">{catrow.forumrow.FORUM_NAME}</a><br />
  				</span> <span class="genmed">{catrow.forumrow.FORUM_DESC}<br />
  				</span><span class="gensmall">{catrow.forumrow.L_MODERATOR} {catrow.forumrow.MODERATORS}</span>
  			</td>
  		</tr>
  	</table></td>
Did you backup your older TPL file before you install this MOD?

Well, then try restore every file you changed for this MOD. In my opinion, changes this MOD will never cause you that problem.

I seemed to have really messed up my forum trying to install this mod. If you look here www.qmjhltoughguys.com/forum you will see there are now no icons next to my forums.

When I log into my control panel and try and edit the fourm I nothing at all happens. Here is a screen shot.

Like I said when I click edit on either forum nothing happens, so I somehow screwed that up.

Did you remember to run the SQL query?

Code: Select all

ALTER TABLE phpbb_forums ADD forum_icon VARCHAR(255) DEFAULT NULL;

Sorry, I got it figured out now and it works fine in the subsilver skin.

Is there a way to use the icons with other skins?

You will have to do the changes to your TPL files from other templates. But because the MOD is written for subSilver, the changes may not be identical when you try to FIND/ADD to your other themes.
