Hello

Love the smilie insertion. However i don't need the javascript prompt for the url. How can i get rid of the prompt and keep it to the original method?

Thanks

I am using version 2.017

I cant find these in my posting_body:

Code: Select all

var caretPos = txtarea.caretPos;
caretPos.text = caretPos.text.charAt(caretPos.text.length - 1) ==
txtarea.focus();

Code: Select all

else if (txtarea.selectionEnd && (txtarea.selectionEnd - txtarea.selectionStart > 0))
{
mozWrap(txtarea, bbopen, bbclose);

Code: Select all

mozWrap(txtarea, bbtags[bbnumber], bbtags[bbnumber+1]);
help?? please!

Got it installed and everything seems ok except my quick reply smilies do not work. When I click on them I can't get them to post. On a general reply they post ok.

hello

i didn't apply the changes to templates/subSilver/posting_smilies.tpl file because the MyQuickReply mod already changed the emoticon(text) javascript function.

however both mods seem to be woring ok. or is it necessary to change also that file?

thank you

Is this mod compatible with Multiple BBCode?

I'm a bit confused about this one.. the link in the lead post says 1.1.2.em, but on the last page we see there is 1.2.3 available.. but the link is broken. Then someone said something about 2.0....

Can someone tell me hat the current version is and provide a working link to it?

The current version is the 1.2.4 which can be installed on phpBB 2.0.22 :-)
The 1.2.3 was available for phpBB 2.0.21 and below.

Download it from my signature/web page.
I have to submit it to the phpBB MOD team but it always take quite a long time to be validated.

Really excellent mod indeed....

I saw the retain select feature on another site where the selected text will remain as such for applying many bbcodes..... I was searching all over the place to find it but could not find it... Then I saw the source code of that page and found the mod name and was easily able to find this one :D

Thanx again.... No problems at all with installing this mod.... Also I was able to apply this feature to the built-in simple quick reply I m using ;-)

Hey guys,

I have managed to install this MOD but i can't seem to get the smilies to position where I want them in Firefox?

They position fine in IE7 and Opera, just not Firefox - I think I may have gone wrong somewhere :(

Is there anywhere in particular in my scripts I should be looking for the fault?

Cheers,

SW.

This edit in admin/admin_users.php

Code: Select all

#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------------
#
# NOTE: this is a search by part(s) of code line(s)!
# The original line(s) to find is(are) longer and must look like this (if no MOD has already modify them):
#
# $signature = ($this_userdata['user_sig_bbcode_uid'] != '') ? preg_replace('#:' . $this_userdata['user_sig_bbcode_uid'] . '#si', '', $this_userdata['user_sig']) : $this_userdata['user_sig'];
#
$signature = ($this_userdata['user_sig_bbcode_uid'] != '')

#
#-----[ REPLACE WITH ]----------------------------------------
#

// Start replacement - BBCodes & smilies enhancement MOD
$signature_bbcode_uid = $this_userdata['user_sig_bbcode_uid'];
$signature = ($signature_bbcode_uid != '') ? preg_replace("/:(([a-z0-9]+:)?)$signature_bbcode_uid(=|\])/si", '\\3', $this_userdata['user_sig']) : $this_userdata['user_sig'];
// End replacement - BBCodes & smilies enhancement MOD
caused the left panel in ACP to go blank and show a parse error message.

I solved the problem by not applying this edit.

Now everything seems to be working fine.

Anybody able to make some comments on the why of the error, what that string is supposed to do and whether I can safely leave it out.

The rest of the MOD is doing a nice job, thanks a lot for writing it!

Actually it fixes the problem of displaying the wrong text for the ACP siganture containing bbcodes when editing some one's profile....

But I have it installed on my board and I did not get any parse errors....

Can you show us here the modified admin_users.php file along with the complete error message so that it will be easy to find out where the PARSE error occured...
