Yep ;)
And why do you recommend not going lower than 60?
Because under 60 seconds, your users will be often offline even if they are reading a topic.

Online status should be beside profile and private messages but instead its
up there by username and avatar :?

Does anyone has any idea how to fix this :wink:

Are you using the latest version? current is 2.2.6

Then, in your viewtopic_body.tpl search for {postrow.POSTER_ONLINE_STATUS_IMG} and remove or cut this code
Search for {postrow.PROFILE_IMG} and add the code you cut before.

Read the install.txt :wink:

Mix up between 2 MODs

Post by Morpheuss » Wed Sep 28, 2005 8:46 am

I think this can be a mix up between this MOD and PCP MOD, i have found out in viewtopic_body.tpl next things:

- authors all stuff are defined in {postrow.AUTHOR_PANEL}
(username and avatar and those stuff)
- those buttons are defined in {postrow.BUTTONS_PANEL}

Now i must find out where are those things defined and i will delete the Online button from {postrow.AUTHOR_PANEL} and add it to {postrow.BUTTONS_PANEL}

Just need help where are those things defined now :wink:

Here's how the concerned code looks in my viewtopic_body.tpl:
<td colspan="2"><SPAN CLASS="postbody">{postrow.SIGNATURE}</SPAN><SPAN CLASS="gensmall">{postrow.EDITED_MESSAGE}</SPAN></td>
<!-- End add - Bottom aligned signature MOD -->

</tr>
</table></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td class="{postrow.ROW_CLASS}" width="150" align="left" valign="middle"><span class="nav"><a href="#top" class="nav">{L_BACK_TO_TOP}</a></span></td>
<td class="{postrow.ROW_CLASS}" width="100%" height="28" valign="bottom" nowrap="nowrap"><table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" height="18" width="18">
<tr>
<td valign="middle" nowrap="nowrap">{postrow.POSTER_ONLINE_STATUS_IMG}{postrow.PROFILE_IMG} {postrow.SEARCH_IMG} {postrow.PM_IMG} {postrow.EMAIL_IMG}

Here is a screengrab:

I get the following error when I try to go to a post:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /home/a2eonli/public_html/booomforum/viewtopic.php on line 1282

On line 1282 it says: ?>

I have checked and dubblechecked, I can't find anything wrong. And of course this is the only file I forgot to back up... just my luck :P

re-check your file, something is wrong in your code.
You added a $ or remove a variable ;)

I checked it twice. I repeated the steps and so on.

What do you have before and after

Code: Select all

// Start add - Online/....
...
// End add - Online/...

This:

Code: Select all

	// Start add - Online/Offline/Hidden Mod
	$online_status_img = '';

	if ( $poster_id != ANONYMOUS )
	{
		if ( $postrow[$i]['user_session_time'] >= (time()-60) )
		{
			if ( $postrow[$i]['user_allow_viewonline'] )
			{
				$online_status_img = '<a href="' . append_sid("viewonline.$phpEx") . '"><img src="' . $images['icon_online'] . '" alt="' . sprintf($lang['is_online'], $poster) . '" title="' . sprintf($lang['is_online'], $poster) . '" border="0" /></a>&nbsp;';
			}
			else if ( $is_auth['auth_mod'] || ( $userdata['user_id'] == $poster_id ) )
			{
				$online_status_img = '<a href="' . append_sid("viewonline.$phpEx") . '"><img src="' . $images['icon_hidden'] . '" alt="' . sprintf($lang['is_hidden'], $poster) . '" title="' . sprintf($lang['is_hidden'], $poster) . '" border="0" /></a>&nbsp;';
			}
			else
			{
				$online_status_img = '<img src="' . $images['icon_offline'] . '" alt="' . sprintf($lang['is_offline'], $poster) . '" title="' . sprintf($lang['is_offline'], $poster) . '" border="0" />&nbsp;';
			}
		}
		else
		{
			$online_status_img = '<img src="' . $images['icon_offline'] . '" alt="' . sprintf($lang['is_offline'], $poster) . '" title="' . sprintf($lang['is_offline'], $poster) . '" border="0" />&nbsp;';
		}
	}
	// End add - Online/Offline/Hidden Mod
