You probably turned on secure cookies by mistake. If so, you need to turn that back off.

You can do that with phpmyadmin or whatever gui you use to fool around with your database. You need to go into you the phpbb_config table and change the cookie_secure setting to 0 if it is 1. If it is already 0 than I'm not sure what to do next...let us know.

Hi there...

I've recently moved my forum to another server and domain. Everything was done as support recomended and seems fine.

The fisrt time i've tryed to access my forum on the new server and domain i was pointed to the old location of my forum...

I've tryed to run this MOD but all i can see is my forum mainpage, but without graphics... only the text (no images).

I have a doubt, when I unzip this mod, i get 1 folder called install with cookie.php inside, and a separate file outside the install folder. Is this file necessary to upload?

Please advice...

No, that other file is just a file telling you how to install the mod (i.e., copy the install folder into your root phpbb folder).

If you've already done that, what you should do is to navigate with your browser to http://[whatever_address_your_forum_is_now_at]/install/cookies.php and the mod will run. Once you are done, delete the install folder and you should be all set.

I have no idea why that would be. But rather than trying to get this mod working why don't we try to fix the problem directly.

Can you get to your database with something like phpmyadmin? If so, open up the phpbb_config table and take a look at the values for the following entries:

server_name: [this should be your domain or subdomain name without any http:// or www. upfront and without any slashes or parts following the slashes]
server_path: [this should be the path to your phpbb2 folder without the domain name]

So, for example, if the address to your forum phpbb2 folder is www.cars.asinshforum.com/phpbb2

then your server_name would be cars.asinshforum.com and your server_path would be /phpbb2/

but if you have a domain or subdomain that points exactly to the phpbb2 folder without any slash or stuff after the slash, then the server_name is that domain or subdomain name and the path is just /

Once you've figure that part out, do the same for the cookie_domain and cookie_path (and call your cookie_name something that soulds like your forum name so that people will know that cookies they find on their computer are associated with your forum and won't delete them).
