Excellent mod. It solved the problem of my not being able to access the admin pages.

The problem was caused by the fact that my site uses shared SSL / https, and so the host name settings should have been the host name of the shared SSL host and not that of my website. Once the cookie mod auto-detected the correct settings and i saved it, everything works fine now.

Thanks again.

You put it in the directory that phpBB is installed in.

Er...?
The link no longer works, but the script should be giving you the correct values, you just click save.

I found out the board have to be unlocked to access the settings.

Thanks, though!

I have another question.

Does this mod fixed the administration panel link?

If I click on the admin panel, it leads me back to my old domain.

Yes, that is one of the points of the MOD. As to being unlocked, I don't understand what you mean.

That should not affect anything, hence why I am confused. :)

Great Mod,

Thanks for posting it.

In switching to the recommended settings all board users have the board work for about 24 hours and then they experience this password loop again where it forces them to reset their cookie for the site. As an Admin and a user (have standard username too) I experience the same thing. A cookie reset cures this. Trying to get this to work as it did before without the cookie reset.

Is this a software issue or a hosting issue?

My Current Cookie Settings:
  • Domain Name: www.cckw.org
  • Server Port: 80
  • Script path: /phpbb2/
  • Cookie secure: Disabled
  • Cookie domain: .cckw.org
  • Cookie path: /phpbb2
  • Cookie name: cckw_forum
  • Session length [ seconds ]: 3600
  • Allow automatic logins: Yes
  • Automatic login key expiry: 0
My Suggested Cookie Settings:
  • Domain Name: www.cckw.org
  • Server Port: 80
  • Script path: /phpbb2/
  • Cookie secure: Enabled
  • Cookie domain: .cckw.org
  • Cookie path: /phpbb2
  • Cookie name: cckw_forum
  • Session length [ seconds ]: 3600
  • Allow automatic logins: Yes
  • Automatic login key expiry: 0
Thanks in advance for your help,

Bill

More than likely cookie secure should be off.
