I don't know. Maybe you have another Mod installed that is interfering with this one?

Hi,

I just upgraded to PHPBB v2.0.23 and tried to reinstall Super Quick Reply but I get this error when trying to access my Admin panel:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_DOUBLE_ARROW in .../forum/admin/admin_users.php on line 920
This is the section its referring to? Is it something to do with the => symbols not being compatible with the newer version of phpbb2?

Code: Select all

			'QUICK_REPLY_SELECT' => quick_reply_select($user_show_quickreply, 'show_quickreply');
			'QUICK_REPLY_MODE_BASIC' => ( $user_quickreply_mode==0 ) ? 'checked="checked"' : '';
			'QUICK_REPLY_MODE_ADVANCED' => ( $user_quickreply_mode!=0 ) ? 'checked="checked"' : '';
			'OPEN_QUICK_REPLY_YES' => ( $user_open_quickreply ) ? 'checked="checked"' : '';
			'OPEN_QUICK_REPLY_NO' => ( !$user_open_quickreply ) ? 'checked="checked"' : '';

			$s_hidden_fields .= '<input type="hidden" name="user_status" value="' . $user_status . '" />';
			$s_hidden_fields .= '<input type="hidden" name="user_allowpm" value="' . $user_allowpm . '" />';

The code you quoted has incorrect PHP syntax. Why are there semi-colons after each hash assignment? They should be commas… And the hash definition should be enclosed in brackets like here:

Code: Select all

$template->assign_vars(array(
	...
	'QUICK_REPLY_SELECT' => quick_reply_select($user_show_quickreply, 'show_quickreply'),
	'QUICK_REPLY_MODE_BASIC' => ( $user_quickreply_mode==0 ) ? 'checked="checked"' : '',
	'QUICK_REPLY_MODE_ADVANCED' => ( $user_quickreply_mode!=0 ) ? 'checked="checked"' : '',
	'OPEN_QUICK_REPLY_YES' => ( $user_open_quickreply ) ? 'checked="checked"' : '',
	'OPEN_QUICK_REPLY_NO' => ( !$user_open_quickreply ) ? 'checked="checked"' : '',
	...
);

Thanks so much CaptainFlint, I really appreciate that help. After what you said I studied the code more and I was simply placing the code at the wrong point in the php script. :? I'd tried installing with EasyMod but it had done half the job so I was getting a bit muddled as to which parts it had done and whict it hadnt at some points. It seems to be working OK now, thank you! :)

It's in the [2.0.x] MOD Database Releases forum area. I wouldn't expect so.

I downloaded the MOD zip file but now I don't know how to install it because there is no install.xml file which I can open in browser and see the installation guideline.

Can anyone please tell me how can I install this MOD?

Waiting for your reply.

Thanks

Inside the archive is a sqr.mod file. Open that file (it's just text) with your favourite text editor and have at it. :)

I uploaded the three files and did all the edits to the files and I came to the end of the install instructions and the last section looks like this:
#-----[ SQL ]------------------------------------------
#
ALTER TABLE phpbb_users ADD user_show_quickreply TINYINT(1) DEFAULT '1' NOT NULL;
ALTER TABLE phpbb_users ADD user_quickreply_mode TINYINT(1) DEFAULT '1' NOT NULL;
ALTER TABLE phpbb_users ADD user_open_quickreply TINYINT(1) DEFAULT '1' NOT NULL;
UPDATE phpbb_users SET user_show_quickreply=0 WHERE user_id=-1;
UPDATE phpbb_users SET user_quickreply_mode=0 WHERE user_id=-1;
UPDATE phpbb_users SET user_open_quickreply=0 WHERE user_id=-1;
INSERT INTO phpbb_config (config_name, config_value) VALUES ('allow_quickreply', '1');
INSERT INTO phpbb_config (config_name, config_value) VALUES ('anonymous_show_sqr', '0');
INSERT INTO phpbb_config (config_name, config_value) VALUES ('anonymous_sqr_mode', '0');
INSERT INTO phpbb_config (config_name, config_value) VALUES ('anonymous_open_sqr', '0');

And i dont know where to go and edit this.

Thank you its working now :)

Is there a way to make it always show the quick reply? Because now it says "Show/hide quick reply form" I would like to disable that and just make it stay on all the time.
