I love this great mod but....

here is some instruction I don't understand:

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
# NOTE - the origial text is:
# <td align="left" valign="middle" nowrap="nowrap"><span class="nav"><a href="{U_POST_NEW_TOPIC}"><img src="{POST_IMG}" border="0" alt="{L_POST_NEW_TOPIC}" align="middle" /></a>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href="{U_POST_REPLY_TOPIC}"><img src="{REPLY_IMG}" border="0" alt="{L_POST_REPLY_TOPIC}" align="middle" /></a></span></td>
<a href="{U_POST_NEW_TOPIC}">

#
#-----[ IN-LINE FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
U_POST_NEW_TOPIC

#
#-----[ IN-LINE REPLACE WITH ]------------------------------------------
#
U_POST_NEW_TOPIC

#
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
# NOTE - the origial text is:
# <td align="left" valign="middle" nowrap="nowrap"><span class="nav"><a href="{U_POST_NEW_TOPIC}"><img src="{POST_IMG}" border="0" alt="{L_POST_NEW_TOPIC}" align="middle" /></a>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href="{U_POST_REPLY_TOPIC}"><img src="{REPLY_IMG}" border="0" alt="{L_POST_REPLY_TOPIC}" align="middle" /></a></span></td>
<a href="{U_POST_NEW_TOPIC}">
I have to replace U_POST_NEW_TOPIC by U_POST_NEW_TOPIC?

Both seems to be the same?

The show/hide button works in Subsilver but in my template Helius the quick reply form is always shown, pushing the quick reply button doesn't change anything.

Grtz,

Nic

Check if you added SQR strings to the lang_main.php and it included.

Ok, read through the whole topic. So it was to be sure not to edit the first appearance of U_POST_NEW_TOPIC (at the top of the viewtopic_body.tpl)? :)

Sorry, I fixed it. I placed the

Code: Select all

<!-- BEGIN switch_quick_reply -->
	{QRBODY}
<!-- END switch_quick_reply -->
at the wrong location in viewtopic_body.tpl.

Now it works great! :)

Thank you for this great mod!

I also installed the pm quick reply mod and a function I'm missing in this super quick reply mod is the "quote selection" function. You choose a text from a previous message, click on the "quote selection" button and the text is placed between [quote] tags.

Would it be possible to add this into this mod? :)

I made it in the 1.4.x version but I have no time to submit it. I'll try to submit in the near future.

The things you replace in posting_body.tpl will also have to be replaced in viewtopic_quickreply.tpl, the ones that were the same that is, it has been awhile since I did it, but I don't recall it being all that dificult.

You did add that BEFORE the ?> that ends your lang_main.php file.
