Post by Mayona1973 »

getting...
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING, expecting ')' in /home/public_html/includes/usercp_viewprofile.php on line 726

726 line is

Code: Select all

$u_search_author = urlencode(str_replace(array('&', ''', '"', '<', '>'), array('&', "'", '"', '<', '>'), $profiledata['username']));

it's part of the added code...

Admin panel = gone?

Post by jnick »

I have successfully updated to the new version. It said that there were no errors during update, and my board looks fine.

Except if I go to the Administration Panel, and click the "submit" button, it brings me to an error page saying that the page no longer exists, or has been moved . . . any suggestions?

common php

Post by rungok »

My common.php doesn't have the section that should be found. My section that probably resides in the same place look like this:

Code: Select all

if ( !defined('IN_PHPBB') )
{
	die("Hacking attempt");
}

error_reporting  (E_ERROR | E_WARNING | E_PARSE); // This will NOT report uninitialized variables
set_magic_quotes_runtime(0); // Disable magic_quotes_runtime

//
// addslashes to vars if magic_quotes_gpc is off
// this is a security precaution to prevent someone
// trying to break out of a SQL statement.
//
if( !get_magic_quotes_gpc() )
{
	if( is_array($HTTP_GET_VARS) )
	{
		while( list($k, $v) = each($HTTP_GET_VARS) )
		{
			if( is_array($HTTP_GET_VARS[$k]) )
			{
				while( list($k2, $v2) = each($HTTP_GET_VARS[$k]) )
				{
					$HTTP_GET_VARS[$k][$k2] = addslashes($v2);
				}
				@reset($HTTP_GET_VARS[$k]);
			}
			else
			{
				$HTTP_GET_VARS[$k] = addslashes($v);
			}
		}
		@reset($HTTP_GET_VARS);
	}

	if( is_array($HTTP_POST_VARS) )
	{
		while( list($k, $v) = each($HTTP_POST_VARS) )
		{
			if( is_array($HTTP_POST_VARS[$k]) )
			{
				while( list($k2, $v2) = each($HTTP_POST_VARS[$k]) )
				{
					$HTTP_POST_VARS[$k][$k2] = addslashes($v2);
				}
				@reset($HTTP_POST_VARS[$k]);
			}
			else
			{
				$HTTP_POST_VARS[$k] = addslashes($v);
			}
		}
		@reset($HTTP_POST_VARS);
	}

	if( is_array($HTTP_COOKIE_VARS) )
	{
		while( list($k, $v) = each($HTTP_COOKIE_VARS) )
		{
			if( is_array($HTTP_COOKIE_VARS[$k]) )
			{
				while( list($k2, $v2) = each($HTTP_COOKIE_VARS[$k]) )
				{
					$HTTP_COOKIE_VARS[$k][$k2] = addslashes($v2);
				}
				@reset($HTTP_COOKIE_VARS[$k]);
			}
			else
			{
				$HTTP_COOKIE_VARS[$k] = addslashes($v);
			}
		}
		@reset($HTTP_COOKIE_VARS);
	}
}

//
// Define some basic configuration arrays this also prevents
// malicious rewriting of language and otherarray values via
// URI params
//
$board_config = array();
$userdata = array();
$theme = array();
$images = array();
$lang = array();
$gen_simple_header = FALSE;
Can someone help me decide if the modifications described in the update (concerning common.php) is necessary for me?

Hi! Hope someone can help. I get this error when trying to install the mod using easymod beta v 0.1.13:
Critical Error

FIND FAILED: In file [templates/subSilver/admin/board_config_body.tpl] could not find:

<tr>
<td class="row2"><input type="radio" name="require_activation" value="{ACTIVATION_NONE}" {ACTIVATION_NONE_CHECKED} />{L_NONE}&nbsp; &nbsp;<input type="radio" name="require_activation" value="{ACTIVATION_USER}" {ACTIVATION_USER_CHECKED} />{L_USER}&nbsp; &nbsp;<input type="radio" name="require_activation" value="{ACTIVATION_ADMIN}" {ACTIVATION_ADMIN_CHECKED} />{L_ADMIN}</td>
</tr>

I already checked the board_config_body.tpl, and the part it says is missing is in there, so I don't understand why there's a FIND FAILED error
message.

I would be most grateful if someone can help. My default template is subSilver.

I am having problems with common.php change as well:
Parse error: parse error in forum/common.php on line 255

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: session_pagestart() in forum/index.php on line 387

Anybody could help? The old common.php from 2.0.10 generates no errors.

Thank you for your help.

The update_to_2011.php script needs to be placed in a folder called install within the phpBB folder and run from there.

Thos using EM, see the first page of this thread, I think there is a note about something to change to get it to work with some templates.

Hey ya'll, if I try using EM to install this update, I get the following message.

Code: Select all

Critical Error

FIND FAILED: In file [viewtopic.php] could not find:

$words = explode(' ', trim(htmlspecialchars(urldecode($HTTP_GET_VARS['highlight']))));

MOD script line #773 :: FAQ :: Report
Now, we removed the <TR> thing mentioned earlier in this thread and before that had the same error message that windborn just above me had. I guess someone had manually patched the security hole that was present before the update came out and now, we dont remember what code was replaced...we are thinking that this is possibly the problem?

Cheers

great mod

installs ok
except that my quick reply box is now gone.

Any ideas on what might have caused that?
