MOD Validated/Released

Notes:
Adds another page the ACP that allows administrators to search for users using different options. This is a great tool if you don't have the username of the user you want to find.

Great Mod!

Thank you very much for this Mod, it makes things much easier.

One thing is the "Group Members Search" is only showing one page and the count says "Searching group members of selected group yielded 1 result(s). Perform while there are hundreds of members in this group.

This a bug?

Thanks again! :)

Hmm Group searching works fine for me and produced the correct number of results. Can anyone else replicate this?

I believe the queries to find moderators by forum should look like this:

Code: Select all

$total_sql .= "SELECT COUNT(u.user_id) AS total
						FROM ".USERS_TABLE." AS u, ".GROUPS_TABLE." AS g, ".USER_GROUP_TABLE." AS ug, ".AUTH_ACCESS_TABLE." AS aa
								WHERE u.user_id = ug.user_id
									AND ug.group_id = g.group_id
									AND g.group_id = aa.group_id
									AND aa.forum_id = ".$moderators_forum."
									AND aa.auth_mod = 1
									AND u.user_id <> ".ANONYMOUS."
								GROUP BY (u.user_id)";

			$select_sql .= ", ".GROUPS_TABLE." AS g, ".USER_GROUP_TABLE." AS ug, ".AUTH_ACCESS_TABLE." AS aa
								WHERE u.user_id = ug.user_id
								        AND g.group_single_user = '1'
									AND ug.group_id = g.group_id
									AND g.group_id = aa.group_id
									AND aa.forum_id = ".$moderators_forum."
									AND aa.auth_mod = 1
									AND u.user_id <> ".ANONYMOUS;
The same queries with this line in it:

Code: Select all

AND aa.forum_id = ".$moderators_forum."
Without that line the queries where returning all the moderators for the board, not for specific topics.

phpBB doesn't log the IP of users who just look at the site. They have to post in order to have phpBB log it.

I just couldn't figure out why my moderator was showing up a bunch of times for one forum, when I noticed. Thanks for such a great mod.

take from another post in wrong forum....sorry

[2.0.10] Advanced User Search

I just added this new mod to my phbboard and it said only to copy the folders and go to the forum admin and look for the new search link.

I ended up with the following error (I replaced account name with **)

Warning: main(./../includes/functions_selects.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/*****/public_html/alumni/modules/Forums/admin/admin_user_search.php on line 37

Warning: main(./../includes/functions_selects.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/******/public_html/alumni/modules/Forums/admin/admin_user_search.php on line 37

SECOND POST
I double checked it....it's quite simple directions.

copy admin/admin_user_search.php to admin/admin_user_search.php
copy templates/subSilver/admin/admin_user_search_form.tpl to templates/subSilver/admin/admin_user_search_form.tpl
copy templates/subSilver/admin/admin_user_search_results.tpl to templates/subSilver/admin/admin_user_search_results.tpl
copy language/lang_english/lang_user_search.php to language/lang_english/lang_user_search.php

If this is not where ask for help on mods and I can't post in support forum where do I go?

Hi,

Is there a way to modify the search fields with this mod?

I am working on a messageboard that has a huge custom registration form with a couple dozen of fields.

I'd like to make it searchable on all information in the different fields.

can someone please help or make a suggestion?

thanks
Bill

Are the additional fields simply additional columns in the users table?
