MOD Name: Welcome on Index

MOD Description: Shows a welcome message on the index page. If the member is registered/logged in, it will show the username - which will also be a link to the users profile. If the user is not logged in/registered, then they will be invited to register on the forums.

hi, i've installed this mod, and it works good!


but i have a question:

i have to insert the welcome message in overall_header.tpl instaed of index_body, and it doesn't work



there is a possibility?

I just installed 2 mod's: Welcome on Index & Always Show Edited by Messages

and tried to post something and heres what Ive got:

BTW I downloaded and re-uploaded public_html/phpBB2/includes/functions_post.php from that file for files only from phpbb.com site (Im talking about from files 2.0.10 to 2.0.11) and its working now, but before I did that I removed mod Always Show Edited by Messages

what do you think whats the problem ?

hmm . . . not sure about that. I now that my MOD doesn't edit includes/functions_post.php but I know that AbelaJohnB's MOD does - do you have that one installed?

I think I have "always show edited by" installed, but i'm not sure. i'll have a look into it though.
Anyone else having troubles?

Are you refering to this code in lang_main.php ??

And i'm changing the MOD a little bit atm - making it so it shows a different message for guests than it does for reg. users :)

OK, excellent! Now, I'm noticing it doesn't refer a suggested thread when I log on...is there a way to configure that? Sorry for the simple questions...I just like to ask things! LOL
