cheers guys.
New versions fixes a few bugs that have gone un-noticed.
There's a small inconsistency just been found in this version though - nothing major, but it's annoying I didn't see it :oops:
The MOD Team wrote: Just wanna point out that there's a inconsistancy with the upgrade script and the install file.

in install file

Code: Select all

    $welcome_reg = '<b><a href="' . append_sid("profile.$phpEx?mode=editprofile&" . POST_USERS_URL . "=" . $userdata['user_id']) . '">' . $userdata['username'] . '</a></b>';
In upgrade file

Code: Select all

    $welcome_reg = '<a href="' . append_sid("profile.$phpEx?mode=editprofile&" . POST_USERS_URL . "=" . $userdata['user_id']) . '">' . $userdata['username'] . '</a>';
One with bold tag and one without

It's up to you if you want to change it manually - note that this is only for users who are upgrading. 1st time installers won't get this. If I have reason for another update, i'll fix this ;)

A simple language edit can make this possible :)

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------
#
language/{YOUR_LANGUAGE_FOLDER}/lang_main.php
#
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
$lang['Welcome'] = "<b>Thanks for logging in </b>";

#
#-----[ REPLACE WITH ]------------------------------------------
#
$lang['Welcome'] = "<b>Welcome to my forum, </b>";
As the username alreay shows (with a link to their profile), you don;t need to worry about that :)

Can someone give me a demo? PLEASE!

(In other words, link me to your board, I will register and check it out)

Edit - Nevermind

[Suggestion] You should make the use avatar appear on the index as well.

Solid strike - I would, but there is already a MOD that does this. (a few actually). Have a search for welcome and avatar on index ;)

your index file would need to be php to be able to do this.
if you convert it, try phpBB fetchall - it can pull any data you want onto any php page.
look on thier site and you should be able to figure it out ;)
