i installed the mod twice and checked almost everything, but theres a problem i cant solve:

if i post a registration post everything is added into the db as i entered, viewforum.php works fine, too. but if i go into my registration post again i get blank buttons and these dont even work.

so i checked my installation etc but i couldnt find any c&p errors etc.

but i wonder about some things: none of the variables/strings in viewtopic_registration.tpl like REG_DO_NAME, REG_DO_COUNT etc. are defined in viewtopic.php, functions_regmod.php or even the install.txt (i searched for it in every file mentioned in install.txt, including the included files). so i dont really wonder why it isnt displayed at my topic if the script doesnt know where to pull the data from.

so my question is: is there something missing in install.txt or did i just not find the right locations?

Any ideas on how to get this mod working with this:

http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=386481

theme?

I've edited everything and have it working fine on subsilver but when I edit everything and have it on guildwarswood I don't see the registration box when making a new thread. I don't get any errors or anything and I'm using .22.

A little more info:
When I make registration thread using subsilver and then view it in guildwarswood I see the fields that were there when making the post instead of the button to register for the event.

Is there anyway to make it so when people unregister it records that they have unregistered?

Hi, i got the following error:

Code: Select all

Error in posting

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ' 0, , 0, 0)' at line 1

Line : 258
File : functions_post.php
Searched a time, but didn`t found something so fix :(

I recieve a second error like:

Code: Select all

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/web1/html/forumtest/includes/functions_post.php:2) in /var/www/web1/html/forumtest/includes/page_header.php on line 483

I would be very happy if someone can help me.

I just installed phpBB 2.0.22 and then Regmod 2.0.3. and no more.
With the default settings of both phpBB2 and Regmod, i can activate a posting for registration, no problem.

But, once i disabled POLL function for registered users, i'd get this problem:
------------
Could not store registration data

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax near ' , , 1168620400, 518400)' at line 1

INSERT INTO phpbb_registration_desc (topic_id, reg_active, reg_option1 , reg_option2, reg_option3, reg_max_option1, reg_max_option2, reg_max_option3, reg_start, reg_length) VALUES (16, 1, 'yes', 'maybe', 'not this time', , , , 1168620400, 518400)

Line : 323
File : functions_post.php
----------------

Moderator is POLL enabled but he or she still gets this problem if activating a event without filling in a poll.

So, anytime i activate an event i have to write a poll question and give at least 2 answers. -not a big problem but i dont feel it's righ!

Anyone could give me a direction ? Thanks.

Hello,

Very very silly question, but hopefully someone can point me to the right spot.

I use a black background/white text theme. Unfortunately, the boxes for the Reg Mod use a white background and white text. No other input boxes on my site have a white background, so I'm assuming that it's somewhere in the mod and it's not going after my defaults. Can anyone suggest how to change the input boxes so I don't have to highlight the contents to be able to spell check myself? :) Thanks!

Ok I was suffering the same problem. Issue is the fields are made but they don't follow the same field parameters as the posting fields do so your color scheme doesn't take effect. To fix this:

Code: Select all

REGMOD Text Field FIX

#---OPEN------
#
#
 templates/subSilver/posting_reg_body.tpl
#
#
#
#-----FIND-----

				<td class="row2" align="center"><span class="gen">{L_REG_RESET}<br /><input type="checkbox" name="reset_registration" value="1" /></span></td>
				<td class="row2" align="center"><span class="genoption1">{L_REG_OPTION1_OPTION}<br /><input type="text" name="reg_option1" value="{L_REG_OPTION1}" /></span></td>

Now enjoy text fields with the correct body color.

WOOT first MOD! Yeah me! Just kidding I lucked into that one After seeing what was different between Posting_poll_body and Posting_reg_body

With some dark background colors the Green Blue and Red are hard to see. I had to change mine.

Here's what I did. I opened "templates/subSilver/overall_header.tpl"

Looked for this:

Code: Select all

/* Event Registration Begin */
.genoption1 { font-size : 12px; font-weight : bold; color : #008000; text-decoration:none; }
a.genoption1 { font-size : 12px; font-weight : bold; color : #008000; text-decoration:none; }
.genoption2 { font-size : 12px; font-weight : bold; color : #0000ff; text-decoration:none; }
a.genoption2 { font-size : 12px; font-weight : bold; color : #0000ff; text-decoration:none; }
.genoption3 { font-size : 12px; font-weight : bold; color : #ff0000; text-decoration:none; }
a.genoption3 { font-size : 12px; font-weight : bold; color : #ff0000; text-decoration:none; }
/* Event Registration End */
In this section:
#008000 is the Green Color
#0000ff is the Blue Color
#ff0000 is the Red Color

By using a photo program you can locate colors you'd like to replace them with.

Here's what I used.

Code: Select all

/* Event Registration Begin */
.genoption1 { font-size : 12px; font-weight : bold; color : #00E200; text-decoration:none; }
a.genoption1 { font-size : 12px; font-weight : bold; color : #00E200; text-decoration:none; }
.genoption2 { font-size : 12px; font-weight : bold; color : #0090FF; text-decoration:none; }
a.genoption2 { font-size : 12px; font-weight : bold; color : #0090FF; text-decoration:none; }
.genoption3 { font-size : 12px; font-weight : bold; color : #FF8B8B; text-decoration:none; }
a.genoption3 { font-size : 12px; font-weight : bold; color : #FF8B8B; text-decoration:none; }
/* Event Registration End */

This MOD would be better if it were more configurable. I have a forum with an area for upcoming social events. Would be nice if user-defined fields could be added like 'number of guests (including self)' etc.

Well I installed this mod, and it seems to work except for one little problem. The only way I can get the registration to appear is by making a topic and then editing it. What could be the cause of this?

I need a little help

Post by lilantny » Tue Feb 13, 2007 4:13 am

About a year ago I started up a website to help manage technicians and projects. In short I used a combination of PHPBB with the addons 'Topic Calendar/Scheduler' and 'Event Register'. The combination of these addons has been outstanding. I used to have to beg my employees to go to projects. It was a constant problem getting projects properly manned and having employees show up to projects in a timely manner (if at all). I put this site together to test and see if I could resolve these issues. It worked out FAR beyond my expectations. Because the jobs were being posted, emails were the first contact my techs got. Techs scheduled themselves for projects on a first come first serve bases. From there I was able to hire more techs for the jobs, increase productivity and moral. Now scheduling techs is a brease. I just post the work orders and they do the rest.

It's almost perfect. I'd like to increase the ease of scheduling management by adding to the scheduler page of the Topic Calendar the list of registered techs along witht the posted projects. In this way I'll be able to manage same techs on multiple jobs for that day. Can you please help?

PM me for access if you need to see my setup.

Thanks:-)

Great MOD!!!

I am currently running phpBB 2.0.21. I have added a number of MODs to the board so I had to perform a fair amount of hand-coding to install this. It works wonderfully but I now have an unexpected side effect. The navigation bar in my admin screen is now gone. As far as I can tell, I did not touch any files that had anything to do with it. Could someone please give me some insight as to what I need to do to fix this.

I am willing to give access to my site if need be.

EDIT: I am also getting a blank screen when I try to edit permissions.
