Is this your second MOD to be validated? Congratulations!!!

Ok, the description doesn't quite give me enough detail. Can you explain in a bit more detail what this is supposed to accomplish for us? Are you trying to say that some people will have the authority to ban people from a topic based on their rank???

ok, it's not that complicated
when someone makes a topic they get to choose if they allow guests to participate (if guest are infact allowed within that forum)
then when viewing the topic there is a button with which you ban someone from the topic, the button can be utilized by the admin, moderator or topic starter
then in the ACP the admin can edit/delete all the topic bans as he pleases

detailed enough?

Yes, I think that helps a bit. I'm not sure I would need anything like this on my board. I am using your Topic Description MOD though...

Oh wow!
Congrats on the validation, Swizec. :)
I've been following this for a while and have to say it's one of the the most potent mods out there.
In fact, I'm just on my way to recommend it to someone over in Mod Requests.
Well done, Swizec :D

Nice mod! I'm using it on my forums! But what exactly is Topic Ban? What does it do?

it disables the banned user from being able to see or post in the thread, instead of the topic they get a screen which tells them who they were banned by and the description that user gave as the reason for banning

when I password protect a post it stops all users getting into it, even if they know the password, what have I done wrong?
The sql was inserted into the database correctly and all other files went in fine with easymod

any time some tried to get in who knows the password gets this message

Code: Select all

The topic or post you requested does not exist
