I am also having problems updating. I made a backup before hand, copied the sessions.php back, re-edited, and still get the following:

Code: Select all

phpBB : Critical Error

Error creating new session

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ')' at line 3

INSERT INTO phpbb_sessions (session_id, session_user_id, session_start, session_time, session_ip, session_page, session_logged_in, session_admin) VALUES ('9abf985a79e888c5f031537d2e3b7ce2', -1, 1115501359, 1115501359, '4166de49', 0, 0, )

Line : 177
File : sessions.php
I've double, and triple checked for typos. Ran the included update*.php file, deleted the install directory, but still not sure whats up.

After I log in for the second time to access the administration panel, it brings me to index.php when I wanted to access admin/index.php.

Like some other said, I changed the line in admin/pagestart.php to add either & or index.php in the filename but it didn't work at all.

I have compared all my modified files with phpBB's changed files archive and I have made no editing error :evil:

Are you guys able to access the ACP after login for the second time?

Thanks, Frank

Well, maybe a few more minutes... it's quite a bunch of editorial traps.
Unfortunately I get this after update

Code: Select all

SQL Error : 1054 Unknown column 'session_admin' in 'field list'
Would you know why ?

/thanks

Run this:
ALTER TABLE phpbb_sessions ADD COLUMN session_admin tinyint(2) DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL;

You need to create a directory called 'install' and run the update script from there, like so:
[phpbb root]/install/update_to_latest.php

then delete the directory and update file when finished.

In pagestart.php, I changed

redirect(append_sid("login.$phpEx?redirect=admin/&admin=1", true));

to

redirect(append_sid("login.$phpEx?redirect=admin/index.php&admin=1", true));

to point to the file itself and it works fine now.

As usual, thanks for the mod form update. :D

I have noticed a similar thing happening to me but for now
i am going to leave it because it's not really a problem, unless
it's a security issue then i feel that there is no real need to change this!

When i login to the main forum ie: www.domain.com/forum/index.php
and go to the bottom of the page to go to the administration panel it
takes me to here.

http://www.domain.com/forum/login.php?r ... min=1&sid=

Which is a little strange but nothing to worry about i wouldnt have
thought? but when i login on the latter page it all works fine, :).

So will the above quote fix this issue if i need to do it in the near future!

I have tried

http://www.domain.com/forum/login.php?r ... min=1&sid=

http://www.domain.com/forum/login.php?r ... min=1&sid=

but nothing works in my case. I'm just not able to see the ACP and i'm being redirected to the forum index.

But the default one from 2.0.15 (the one you are refering to also) works fine 8) .
Anyway, quite strange syntax 8O .

Awesome MOD Acyd Burn!!! This version update finished in under a minute without any problems using EasyMOD. Your MODs always seem to work flawlessly. Thanks for providing them...

It's a shame that so many people prefer to manually apply these MODs and then end up in here with "weird" problems. Someday they all might learn to use EM and make things a lot easier for themselves...
